SHIRAYUKI JAPANESE DESSERTS & BISTRO
Hello everyone! It's been a while since the last time I've written a restaurant review. This is my first review in 2015! SHIRAYUKI- Japanese concept dessert shop.
Re cently, the re has been a lot of newly opened dessert shops around Jakarta especially in PIK! This time I will review about Shirayuki that is located at Ruko Pantai Indah Kapuk, at North Jakarta.
Kushikatsu is a skewer that been deep fried. The set C of Kushikatsu contains Chicken , Beef , Spicy lotus root, spicy shitake chicken and tomato cheese. This one is served with 2kind of dipping sauce. One is the black one which taste savory, and more tangy. Another one is chili sauce, which tastes sweet, sour yet savory. This chili sauce is my choices of dipping for skewers. Or if you like it you can combined both of the dipping sauce.
Fyi, do not pout the kuromitsu over the cotton candy because it will melt and the cotton candy surely will gone. The proper instruction to enjoy this dessert is by dip the warabi mochi into the kuromitsu then lick the ice cream also if not sweet enough you can torn a lil bit of cotton candy.
Actually, before this they are opened the restaurant with the name of Kobochan that serve mainly in the main course. But as the time goes on, they change the concept became a Japanese Dessert shop and change their name to be Shirayuki.
KUSHIKATSU SET C - IDR 40k
CABE IJO BIANCO - IDR 41K
This Cabe Ijo Bianco was really kick-out my tongue. I love how they mixed up an Indonesian and Italian flavor even though they are Japanese restaurant. Cabe Ijo Bianco itself tastes a little bit spicy because of the cabe hijau itself. With a pinch of lime juice into this spaghetti, it was light up the Indonesian taste into this dish.
SALMON CREAM SOUP SPAGHETTI - IDR 55K
and this one was kinda unique. Salmon cream soup spaghetti. I never try spaghetti with soup before this, and when I thought of it, it's kinda weird. But suprisingly it taste quite good.So creative! The salmon have been pan fried separately so its kinda give a crispy texture into the salmon itelf. What I love from this dish is the creamyness and the texture that i got. It's crunchy yet creamy. nyemmmmm.
WILD BERRY SODA - IDR 24K
This Italian soda drink have 2 choices. ( wildberry soda and lemon squash). It served with popping boba. Nothing stand out in this drink. I couldnt really taste the berry. But it was really refreshing!
YUKIDARUMA MATSURI - IDR 37K (simple) / IDR 58K (premium)
This one is premium maccha yukidaruma. It is contains jelly , mixed nuts, stuffed mochi, almond , half of ice mochi and the super star in this dish is the snowman made by shaved ice. And also compliment with matcha syrup. This one is totally cute and became really happening in Shirayuki itself. But for the taste, i need to think twice.mm but for the presentation was uber cute right?
BAILEYS KANTEN - IDR 36 K
Agar (pronounced /ˈɑːɡər/, "ah-gər") or agar-agar (/ˈɑːɡərˈɑːɡər/, "ah-gər-ah-gər") is a gelatinous substance. In Japan, where it is called kanten.
Kanten was served with 3variants of choices ( classic kanten, bailey's kanten and maccha kanten). All kanten was served with soft ice cream that you can choose the flavor ( maccha, kashokasu, or mixed).
This time I choosed the bailey's kanten with kashokasu soft ice cream and it taste damn gooooooodddd. Seriously I really loved this dish. It taste sweet yet creamy. How to eat this one? First dip the Kanten/jelly into the bailey's sauce then eat together with the soft ice cream. Btw, kashokasu soft ice cream is taste like something nuts. taste really nice and rare to be found in Jakarta. I am telling you, trust me the kashokasu soft ice cream taste incredibly nice !
WATANOKI MATSURI - IDR 37 K
Cotton candy, warabi mochi, kuromitsu(brownsugar), and soft ice cream.Fyi, do not pout the kuromitsu over the cotton candy because it will melt and the cotton candy surely will gone. The proper instruction to enjoy this dessert is by dip the warabi mochi into the kuromitsu then lick the ice cream also if not sweet enough you can torn a lil bit of cotton candy.
CHRISTMAS EDITION DESSERT
Over all the dessert that I've tried in Shirayuki, this is my favorite one! This is a christmas edition dessert by Shirayuki and only served on limited time around christmas time. It is contains stuffed mochi that decor like a present. soft ice cream maccha as a christmas tree, chocolate muffin with strawberry on the top as the santa. Superb love their muffin btw!
COCOA LATTE - IDR 27K
The cocoa latte was served with milk as the ice cube. Taste creamy yet milky. The presentation was quite unique. when you pour the latte over the glass, The glass will light up by the colourfull led.
Overall, I have a fun experience in Shirayuki ! All the presentation was interesting and unique. any attention to details will improved a lot. Fyi, recently when I visit them on December, they are always full house and have a long of waiting list. Its worth to wait for delicious dessert!
