GOBO CHIT CHAT - TRADERS HOTEL

I had dinner at Gobo Chit Chat a few months ago and it was my first time visiting this casual luxury looking restaurant. When I first stepped my feet in, it got me thinking that ' This place will be my destination to spend my Christmas dinner at!' I really love the ambience of Gobo Chit Chat, it's just glorious, classy but in a casual way. 

For those who are not aware, Gobo Chit Chat is a Buffet Restaurant located at Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Recently, Gobo Chit Chat offers a Seafood Buffet Dinner every Friday and Saturday for only RM 108 ++/pax. 

FRESH OYSTER

Gotta compliment their fresh seafood! They're really fresh, try some of the seafood like these oysters, or prawns,crabs. Pleasantly fresh! You just don't want to miss these! I am such a random person when it comes to buffets, for another plate, I take a fresh lobster, fresh oyster with squeezed of lemon, fresh mussels, duck, and salmon. I know what I am expecting from this restaurant. It's the freshness of the seafood itself. I am incredibly loving how the real taste of the fresh seafood could impress me, that means it's freaking yummy!

COLD STATION 

Normally we take appetizer with some of salad or soup, well because this is a seafood buffet. So here are the variants of the cold station with seafood theme. 

BUTTER MILK CRAB

So here is the highlight of this seafood buffet. It's a buttermilk crab! The Crab was cooked in the Claypot with butter,milk, curry leaves, and some other herbs. And the show begins, there's a live cooking station for this main star of the dishes. Well, I will tell you to NOT MISS this dish when you come to Gobo Chit Chat. It tastes incredibly nice.

The queue for this main star was a lil bit long, luckily I only wait for around 10minutes to enjoying this sinful yet delicious buttermilk crab! It tastes creamy, savory, sweet, yet a lil bit spicy. This sinful dish was really flavorful.

Not only seafood, they also served a variety of food that can be chosen. They have Western section, Chinese section, Japanese section, and many more. 

This is a station where I can request about the grilling seafood or meat !

See how mouth watering this grilled scallop and lobster. And now I'm already craving for them! 

CHEESE MUSSELS! It was the bomb! The flavor was very delicious! I love how the texture was smooth but sort of creamy and how tasty the seasoning was! This was a beautiful dish and I love having them altogether! Flavorful dish everyone shouldn't miss!

When you talk about western station in a buffet restaurant, who could say no to pasta and delicious proteins like beef and grilled seafood! The served variety of pasta that can be chosen, but my bad, I forgot to take some picture of some station. Maybe I am too happy and my spirit to eat is high! Enough yacking. Well, the food served on the western station was pretty decent. 

JAPANESE STATION

Even though Gobo Chit Chat specialty is seafood, but their Japanese dish also outstanding. I think the key of their delicious dishes was the freshness of their ingredients used. I must say their sushi was decent, the filling also generous and tasty!Btw, don't miss the one with sashimi!

Dessert Station

The desserts here are just good. I love how they have some of Malaysian traditional snacks here. Many varieties of cake that was displayed at the station was totally great. It just makes my potbelly wants to eat again. HAHA. Yeah, you know who can resist dessert? 

The presentation of all those cake all really pretty and interesting. But for being honest, it just pretty. Yes, only the presentation of the dessert was pretty and mouth watering. It wasn't meant that the dessert tastes bad. But it just below my expectation. I could say that their cake was decent, only that I noticed some of the cake taste a little soft and mushy, ( A little input for Gobo Chit Chat to take care)

Overall, I was impressed with Gobo Chit Chat, starting from the range of food to terrific service, it won me over. I don't have any complaints or negative thing to say for Gobo Chit Chat. I surely have a really good time at Gobo Chit Chat. Just if you wondering why the name is Gobo chit chat? I only could tell Gobo Chit Chat is a freakin' great place for having a chit chat while you can swim into endless of heavenly food.
